Without any notice, my ebay account was suspended. I got an EXTREMELY VAGUE email pointing me to their website which gave several reasons for why your account could be suspended. I emailed their customer service to ask them EXACTLY WHY I was suspended, and they responded with what I would call a form letter. Their letter to me stated:
"Thank you for writing eBay. I understand your concern about the recent
suspension of your account. I've reviewed all of your previous messages
and want to help you address this issue as quickly as possible.
As you know, the eBay User Agreement provides for the suspension or
termination of user accounts, including if we believe you are creating
problems, possible legal liabilities, or acting inconsistently with the
letter or spirit of our policies. While we understand that you may not
agree with the decision to suspend your account, based on an additional
review, we have decided that your account will remain closed."I then emailed back and asked them to give me an EXACT reason why they suspended me. Got another form letter:
"Thank you for writing eBay in regard to your suspension.
We understand that you may not agree with the decision to suspend your
account. We take your concerns very seriously and have again conducted
a courtesy review of the matter. After further review, we have
determined that your account will remain closed with no option for
reinstatement.
Thank you for your time."And then, for reasons beyond my own understanding, i emailed yet again to ask for an exact explanation of my account suspension and here is what I got:
"Thank you for writing eBay in regard to your suspension.
We have reviewed this matter on multiple prior occasions, and we have
concluded each time that your account will remain suspended
indefinitely. Please be aware that eBay may not respond to any further
correspondence in this matter.
Thank you for your time."This is unacceptable!!!!!! How can they just go and suspend accounts and not even give you a valid reason?!?!
